The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, announced that the Oreshnik missile systems have been installed in the country and are about to go into combat alert. In a speech to Parliament, Lukashenko emphasized domestic production within the armed forces, highlighting the establishment of a Belarusian missile-building school and the organization of local production of small arms and ammunition. The Oreshnik, a hypersonic missile, is capable of reaching high speeds, according to press reports that reached the editorial office of the Argentine News Agency via Xinhua. Belarus is a neighbor of Russia and Ukraine. Belarus is located in Eastern Europe and shares land borders with Russia to the east and northeast, Ukraine to the south, Poland to the west, as well as Lithuania and Latvia.
